The 5 year warranty is for the Huco brand regulator and rectifier only. The Elreg Brand T1 alternator has a 1 year warranty.

Will the 5 year warranty apply when you buy the parts only? How long is Elreg T1 complete alternator warranty?

Whenever an alternator is replaced the batteries should be tested with a Load-Tester to ensure that they are in good operating condition. If they do not pass the test they should be replaced with fully charged batteries prior to the alternator being installed. If the batteries do pass the Load Test they should be fully charged prior to the alternator being installed. It stands to reason that if you are replacing the alternator it probably was not working properly or at all and as a result damaged or at the very least discharged the batteries. Elreg supplies alternators and not battery chargers, batteries or load-testers.

Does Elreg offer a solution for charging batteries that are completely discharged? Or is it required to purchase a new battery?
