3.5” 12-GROOVE SERPENTINE PULLEYThis Pulley is designed for use on the Bosch T1 Coach Alternator. It has been specifically designed for use on Vanhool coaches equipped with Caterpillar engines and Multiplex systems.The diameter of the pulley has been reduced to increase the alternator RPM. By increasing the alternator RPM, most importantly at engine idle speed, the output of the alternator is increased which eliminates the ‘False Trouble Code’ for charging, created by the Multiplex system.This pulley has been used to retrofit buses on several coach fleets to eliminate this charging problem. A lot of coaches that are used in urban areas and spend a great deal of time in stop and go traffic need this little boost of alternator output at low engine RPM’s to keep their batteries charged.
