Prestolite/Leece-Neville is energized to announce the launch of the 210 and 240 AMP AVI alternators. The AVI sets itself apart from the competition at first glance with its black E-coating, which provides maximum corrosion resistance. The attention to detail doesn’t stop with E-coating though. Internally the AVI boasts such features as heavy front/rear bearings, heavy duty 12 diode rectification, state of the art rotor design, 125C temperature rating, and remote sense capability.
Originally introduced in the 230 AMP T-mount design for many Ford applications, the AVI design quickly gained a powerful reputation as a highly reliable alternator for applications with high current demands. The AVI160T2002-2 fits most Pre-2008 Ford applications. Couple the AVI T-mount with our proven experience as the major supplier of high amperage products and it is no surprise that many customers anticipated the launch of the AVI in both J180 and Pad mount. The AVI160J2008 J180 mount & AVI160P2007 Pad mount are both rated at 210 amps. The AVI160J2004 J180 mount & AVI160P2003 Pad mount are both rated at 240 amps.
